A Beloved Padlock is a work of craftsmanship.   Once your order has been received, we start by designing the engraving based on your supplied text using our computer software to ensure it looks its best - whether it be simply the names of two sweethearts, or a special message.

Then, we prepare the specialised engraving machine by fitting a diamond tip drill bit and setting parameters like drilling height.  Once the machine is ready, we select the best raw brass padlocks from our stock, fit it into a clamp and send the design to the engraving machine.  

The engraving process is carefully monitored throughout for a high quality finish.

Once engraving is finished, your Beloved Padlock is cleaned, and a fine metal polish applied to remove small abrasions to the surface that usually occur during engraving.  It is then buffed to a high shine.

Your padlock is then wrapped carefully for transport and inserted into a beautiful hand-stamped cotton drawstring bag before being sent via the Australia Post network to your door.
